The Mace & Crown has been the student newspaper at Old Dominion University since 1961. Originally a monthly magazine, the publications changed to a newspaper format in the fall of 1963, and began to run weekly issues in the fall of 1964. In 2017, the Editorial Board decided to switch to a magazine format to be published quarterly. Unfortunately, the first six issues for the 1994-1995 academic year are missing.
